Terms and Conditions:
1 – All bookings must be made in advance by telephone or email. All bookings will be confirmed by email.
2 – A deposit of 50% will be required to confirm Private Hire bookings and payment in full prior to the date of travel.
3 – Once a booking is confirmed (after payment has been authorised) it is subject to the following cancellation policy (see below).
4 – For Private Hire bookings, if you cancel with more than 7 days before the pick-up date then we will refund all monies paid minus a £10 administration fee. If you give notice of 7 days or less then no refund will be given.
5 – For Wedding Car Hire and School Prom Car Hire bookings, a none-refundable £50 deposit is required to confirm the booking and payment in full 28 days from the event date. If you cancel with more than 28 days before the date then we will refund all monies paid except the none-refundable deposit. If you give notice of 28 days or less then no refund will be given.
6 – Once you booking is accepted and payment confirmed we will send you a confirmation email.
7 – Where additional services are booked, a non-returnable deposit will be taken at the time of the booking. Perishable items must be paid for in full.
8 – If you cancel the additional services within 7 days, then no refund will be given.
9 – Where required, passengers who provide us with a mobile telephone number will be sent a text with the contact details of their driver approx. 24 hours prior to their booked pick-up time.
10 – Distinguished Carriages make no guarantees that any trip to or from any destination will be completed in a finite amount of time. We cannot be held responsible for traffic hold-ups and general problems encountered en-route.
11 – Whilst every effort is made to provide you with the type of vehicle requested, Distinguished Carriages reserves the right to substitute another vehicle should it become necessary through breakdown or if the booked vehicle is running late from another journey.
12 – Distinguished Carriages reserve the right at busy times to utilise sub-contractors. All sub-contractors are approved and provide equivalent vehicles and levels of service which have been agreed with Distinguished Carriages.
13 – You may change the date and/or time of your booking free of charge as long as we have availability. If we have to call in one of our quality sub-contractors then there may be a small administration charge for the change.
14 – Waiting Time: We allow up to 1 hour for you to clear customs from the scheduled arrival time of the flight. If you take longer that 1 hour from the scheduled time then a charge of £24 per hour is charged to your account or credit card. This charge applies to all delayed flights, the waiting time is charged from the second hour. For example, if your scheduled time is 7am and the flight arrives at 9am and you clear customs at 10am there would be a charge of 2 hours (i.e. £48). This will automatically be charged to your credit card after the trip is completed.
